Since its introduction in Nepal in September 2023, JPT has seen remarkable growth. Initially available only in Kathmandu, the test has expanded to eight major cities within a year, including Birtamod, Dang, Dhangadi, Butwal, Banepa, Nepalgunj, Pokhara, and Kathmandu. This expansion reflects the growing demand for Japanese language proficiency among Nepalese students and professionals.
The availability of JPT across multiple locations has made it easier for candidates to take the test without having to travel long distances. This accessibility has encouraged more students to enroll in Japanese language courses and attempt the test. The rapid expansion also signifies Nepal’s increasing connection with Japan, creating more opportunities for cultural exchange, education, and employment.
With more students appearing for JPT, it is expected that the number of test-takers will continue to rise, further strengthening Nepal’s relationship with Japan in terms of education and career prospects.
